After planning our Vancouver Island trip, I had gotten a little tired of trip planning and asked Mike to plan our meals in Portland. One place he brought us was Beast, brought to you by Chef Naomi Pomeroy from Top Chef Masters season 3 and James Beard finalist for best chef in the Pacific Northwest.

After a long morning of shopping in downtown Portland, we stopped Grüner for a quick lunch. Known as the home to one of the best burgers in the city, this was the one thing we weren’t leaving here without.

[Portland] Pok Pok

On our visit to Portland, we made sure to drop by Pok Pok for dinner one evening. With its reasonably priced and delicious Thai food, it’s no wonder they’re known for their long waits.

[Vancouver] Thierry

After finishing up lunch at Hawksworth, Mike and I took a short walk over to Thierry (@thierrychocolat), located in the heart of downtown, Vancouver. Known for their handcrafted beautiful desserts, we were looking forward to satisfying our sweet tooth here.
