If you’ve been meaning to head over to Niagara on the Lake for a weekend getaway, May is a great month to do so. The annual Sip & Sizzle event is taking place every weekend throughout the month.

Coming off the long winter, it’s the perfect time to get outside of the city and discover some great wines produced a stone’s throw away from Toronto. During the Sip & Sizzle event, over 20 wineries in the region will be offering a unique grilled food and VQA wine pairing.

Passes are $45 plus tax and entitles you to one VQA wine and food pairing at each of the participating wineries during all weekends in May (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) from 11am to 5pm.

Transportation is not included but you can arrange it with NOTL’s official transportation partners (see list here). For those with DD’s, they offer a ‘designated driver touring pass’ for $25 which includes a food and non-alcoholic beverage pairing.

If you want to see a list of the participating wineries and their food and wine pairings, you can check it out on their website here.
