Located in a historic building on Elm Street, Bangkok Garden (@BangkokGardenTO) has been serving Torontonians Thai fare for over 30 years.

Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll first encounter their bar and lounge area which was renovated in 2013. If you continue along, you’ll set foot into their dining room. While the restaurant is a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of Yonge-Dundas Square, Bangkok Garden’s dining room has a quiet and serene feel to it. Much of their decor was imported from Thailand including their teak footing and temple bells.

Bangkok Garden is open for dinner everyday from 5pm to 10pm and lunch is offered Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Last week Mike and I were invited to check out their new Coconut Cool Down menu which will be offered until September 30th. Here’s a look at some of their delicious coconut-inspired offerings:

My personal favourites were the Spicy Prawn Laksa and Chicken Pad Thai. If you can eat spicy food, the spicy prawn laksa is an absolute must. The prawns were perfectly cooked and I loved the intense laksa broth. The pad thai was also a highlight – this version from their Coconut Cool Down menu is a little different in that it comes sitting on top of a mild green curry. Delish!

Take a look at their full Coconut Cool Down menu here: Coconut Cool Down Menu. These new menu items are certainly a treat for coconut fans. Drop by Bangkok Garden before September 30th to check it out!
