We usually head up to the Danforth when we’re craving Greek food but this time around we ended up at The Wren, a family-friendly pub with an excellent selection of beer.

[Montreal] Maison Publique

Having heard so many great things about Maison Publique, we had to drop by this quirky gastropub during our trip to Montreal. Since we already had all our dinners booked, we decided to drop by for brunch which is offered from 10:30am to 2:00pm on weekends.

Homemade Ramen

Located on Spadina in the heart of Chinatown, Homemade Ramen makes a delicious bowl of hand-pulled noodles in soup. Despite its name, you won’t find any Japanese ramen here. Instead, they specialize in Lanzhou-style beef noodles.

Sabai Sabai

After calling Dundas and Church home for many years, Sabai Sabai moved into some new digs at Bloor and Church. If our visit was any indication, this was definitely a great move for them.

Bruichladdich

I have to admit, I’m a wine drinker who had never really gotten into whisky. Mike, on the other hand, is a big fan and I’m finally starting to come around. We were recently invited to a Bruichladdich tasting and it was a really educational experience for a first-timer like myself.
