Eating at Lahore Tikka House is quite the experience, to say the least. Located on Gerrard east, in the heart of little India, the restaurant is situated in a building that can’t be missed. It’s a large palace-like building with strings of lights draped around the exterior.
My previous Sansotei attempt left me rather unsatisfied – not because I had a bad experience but because I left ramen-less. My advice: get here early!
If you’re looking for a quick and cheap meal, you really can’t beat Korean food. I’ve dropped by Ka Chi’s Chinatown location twice and have left stuffed after spending less than $10 per person.
The appropriately named Church Aperitivo Bar (@ChurchAperitivo) is located in a building that used to be the home of a Slavic Pentecostal church. With its high ceilings, lighting that resembles organ pipes, and long white marble bar down one side of the restaurant, it’s a really gorgeous space.
For those of you who have been to Nadège’s Queen West location, you’ll find that their Rosedale store is a completely different experience. In contrast to the all-white café on Queen West, this location is a small little boutique catering to those looking to pick up a little gift or dessert.
