Named the best new restaurant of 2012 by Macleans Magazine, I was eager to try the Grove’s British cuisine. This British gastropub is brought to you by Chef Ben Heaton who previously worked at One and Colborne Lane.
Having been to Bonjour Brioche once before, I knew we had to get here early for brunch if we wanted to eat at a reasonable hour (see my previous post here). It’s a popular (and small) brunch spot in Leslieville where you’ll often find a line wrapping around the corner.
If you’re looking for a tapas restaurant on King West and have got money to spend, Lee is worth checking out.
Every time I’m craving a sandwich on Sundays, I can never find a good sandwich place open. Thankfully, the new addition to Kensington Market, Dr. Augusta’s Samitorium helps fill my Sunday-sandwich void.
I think it’s safe to say that doughnuts are the new cupcakes in Toronto. Glory Hole Doughnuts opened in the late summer and joins several other doughnut joints like Paulette’s Chicken and Doughnuts and Dough by Rachelle (selling from Beast).
