Specializing in yakitori, Fuku was one of the highlights of our Tokyo trip. But it’s ridiculously hard to find. Located on a very quiet street in Yoyogi-Uehara, the restaurant has absolutely no signage. I can’t stress how important having data on our phones was in Tokyo. It’s so easy to get lost and many restaurants don’t have English signage.
Since we were staying in Shinjuku during our Tokyo trip, we figured that a visit to this well-known tonkatsu restaurant was a must.
A few months ago, a few friends and I dropped by Pearl Diver for their #100for100 Thursday night oyster special featuring 100 shucked oysters for $100. We had such a great time that I knew it wouldn’t be long before I was back. This time around, it was for their newly launched brunch menu.
Our Tokyo ramen experience started with a bowl of ramen at the famous Rokurinsha, located underground in Tokyo station.
This past weekend marked yet another incredibly fun and successful year of Toronto’s Festival of Beer (@TOBeerFestival). Taking place from July 24 to 26th, the event featured over 60 brewers showcasing over 300 different brands from all over the world. For beer lovers, this is THE event of the year.
