Crown Princess

The first thing I noticed after walking into Crown Princess was the over-the-top décor. The restaurant is furnished with marble, chandeliers, velvety purple chair covers and fancy tablecloths. From the outside, the restaurant looks deceivingly larger, so I was surprised by how small the actual space was inside the restaurant.

[Vancouver] Biercraft Bistro

One night, Mike and I ended up at Biercraft Bistro on Cambie to meet up with some friends. The last time I was home, this place was actually called Stella’s but I heard they encountered some legal troubles over the name.

Lou Dawg’s (Now Closed)

My friends and I were taking a stroll down King Street deciding what to have for dinner. We were debating between Big Smoke Burger (formerly known as Craft Burger) and Lou Dawg’s. When we saw a sign outside Lou Dawg’s saying “$5 wings after 5pm”, we were sold. It must have been a Monday evening special to bring in customers since the place was completely dead.

[Seattle] Maximus Minimus

Mike and I are addicted to the food network, so when we saw Maximus Minimus on an episode of Eat Street, we knew we had to make a pit stop there on our visit to Seattle. The pig-shaped truck is usually parked in a lot just a few blocks from Pike Place Market, making it easy to fit this destination into our schedule.

Splendido

Thankfully the drop in prices haven’t translated over to their service. Not only was the food fantastic, but the service also blew me away.
