When Rodney Bowers (from Hey Meatball!) first opened Hrvati Bar back in September, I was very eager to try it out. But its limited food menu always stopped me. It seems like Hravati Bar has since expanded their menu so Mike and I dropped by for some food and drinks one Friday evening.
Upon entering Parts and Labour, I was surprised by how large the space was. Located on the Danforth, Messini is known as one of the best places in the city for gyros. One Thursday evening I had a craving for gyros and dropped by Messini with Chris and Jo. When we arrived around 8 the place was packed with people waiting for their take-out orders.
Located at King and Portland, in close proximity to the gym I normally go to, I’m surprised The One That Got Away didn’t tempt me sooner. Like most fish and chip joints, this one is quite casual with limited seating. I imagine it gets pretty busy here during the lunch rush.
