Having eaten at a few places on Harbord Street, I’ve walked by the Harbord Room many times without even knowing it was there as it’s located in an old house which lacks signage.
About a month ago, Hoof Raw Bar, located next to the Black Hoof, quietly opened without much hype. As the sister restaurant to Black Hoof, you can certainly see the resemblance.
Mike and I walked by Rodney’s Oyster House (@RodneysToronto) one afternoon while walking along King Street and decided to drop in for lunch as some of their specials caught our eye.
Finally, the Dish Duel team (Jacob from Restos in TO, Stella Food Junkie Chronicles and Amy from Amy’s Food Adventures) had a chance to meet up for dinner after all the madness. Since Hawker Bar had been on our radar since it opened recently, we decided to give it a try. This new restaurant, joining the never-ending list of restaurants on the Ossington strip, serves up Singapore-style street food. They certainly bring something a little different to the food scene down here.
Living near Tutti Matti, I had always been curious about this little Italian restaurant on Adeleide, just east of Spadina. Serving up Tuscan-inspired cuisine, the space features an open kitchen right in the middle of the restaurant.
