Since opening in 2012, Hawker Bar (@HawkerBar) has been a real hotspot on Ossington. Specializing in Singapore-style street food, it’s always been tough grabbing one of the limited seats in this tiny restaurant. If this sounds familiar, you’ll be pleased to know that Hawker Bar has recently more than doubled in size with the expansion onto the second floor of their building.

The upstairs space features the same menu along with a few new items including braised duck legs with Thai red curry, the “Fry”-anese (served with chili sauce, dark soy, ginger aioli and a green onion pancake) and char siu pork ribs. They also feature weekly specials including No Corkage Mondays and Toonie Tuesday Half Pints. Oh, and I forgot the best part: they now take reservations!

I came by to check out their new space and was impressed by how large and spacious it is. With the added space, they can easily accommodate larger groups.
