Swan (Now Closed)

If you’re looking for a brunch spot with great value on Queen West, look no further than the Swan. The restaurant is located just west of Trinity Bellwoods Park and has a retro diner-feel to it.

Noka

]Noka (@nokatoronto) is yet another Japanese restaurant to arrive in the Annex. I came to Noka for an 8 course tasting organized by Ken (@inyourmouthTO) and Emily (@Emlarr).

I had a craving for some comfort food and ended up at The Grilled Cheese, located in the heart of Kensington Market.

Chantecler

Having such heard such great things about Chantecler (@ChanteclerTO) since it opened recently, I was eager to give it a try. The restaurant is located in Parkdale, just a few storefronts away from Grand Electric, adding yet another restaurant to the area.

La Carnita

I once made an attempt to line up for La Carnita’s (@la_carnita) famous tacos at TUM (Toronto Underground Market) but after waiting over an hour in negative 20 degree weather and finding myself only halfway through the line, I’m sad to say I gave up. Now that this popular pop-up has opened up a permanent location on College Street, just west of Bathurst, it was finally time to find out what all the hype is about.
