We couldn’t leave Hawaii without sampling some local specialties. While doing some research, Ono Hawaiian Foods kept popping up so it was a no-brainer.
Unlike other major US cities like NYC, there doesn’t seem to be very much media or blogger coverage over restaurants in Hawaii. So, Yelp was our best friend during our trip when it came time to decide where to eat. The highly-rated Shark Pit food truck in Maui looked promising so we made our way over.
Without a doubt, Star Noodle (@StarNoodle) is one of the most popular restaurants in Lahaina. With a 4-star rating on Yelp (with nearly 2,000 reviews) and notoriously long waits, we made sure to make a trip to this Asian fusion noodle house.
Serving up Hawaiian regional cuisine, MW Restaurant is brought to us by the husband-and-wife team Michelle Karr-Ueoka and Wade Ueoka. They each spent almost 20 years working alongside the famous Alan Wong, so they’ve got some serious street cred.
