Master Chef Canada fans, rejoice! Eric Chong (@WOK_Lobster), the winner of season 1, and his mentor (and Master Chef Canada judge) Alvin Leung have opened up R&D (@RDspadina) in the heart of Chinatown.
Blink and you’ll miss it. Located on Lakeview Ave, just off of Dundas St, this Japanese snack and cocktail bar is easily missed. And it would be a shame to miss it.
Located on Adeleide Street just east of York Street, you could easily walk right past Hy’s Steakhouse (@Hys_Steakhouse) without realizing its presence. The restaurant is a little set back from the sidewalk but if you look to the north, you’d find the enormous doors leading into the steakhouse.
Known as one of the top fine dining restaurants in the city, Canoe has been serving up regional Canadian fare since 1995. Sitting on the 54th floor of the TD Bank Tower, not only is the food beautiful but the restaurant provides a stunning panoramic view of the city.
Located in the heart of Kensington Market is the beloved butcher shop Sanagan’s Meat Locker (@sanagans). While it’s primarily a butcher shop, they offer a whole lot more. While spending an afternoon in Kensington Market, Mike and I popped inside Sanagan’s to grab a quick bite to eat.
