Mitzi’s on College (Now Closed)

Mike and I had a late start to the day as a result of daylight saving time. Unfortunately, it seemed like everyone else also had a late start as we arrived at Mitzi’s on College around two o’clock to find the restaurant absolutely packed. At the back of the restaurant, we waited in a large seating area full of other table hopefuls. Servers came by offering us drinks while we waited. We ended up waiting for about half an hour before getting a table for the two of us.

M:brgr (Now Closed)

I was surprised to hear about the addition of yet another gourmet burger joint to the city, but I guess variety is a good thing so, just like all the other new burger restaurants I see opening up, this one also went on my wishlist. The Stockyards

Welcome to Where Jess Ate!

I thought I’d make my first post about a place that has become my favourite brunch spot in the city – Stockyards. This restaurant is just west of St. Clair and Christie, and while I wish it was right on the subway line, my waistline may beg to differ! Mike and I first discovered this place last July long weekend when we were in the area. I had remembered reading positive reviews about Stockyards, so we decided to give it a try. After our initial visit, we were in love (with the food) and returned many times for brunch.
