Located in the heart of Chinatown, the Dumpling House was packed around eight on a Tuesday evening. This translated into a ten minute wait for a table of two. While Chris and I waited, we watched the employees making dumplings fresh to order up front. If you’re walking down Spadina, you can watch them making dumplings from the window… definitely fresh!
The thing that keeps me coming back to Bier Markt is their extensive beer selection, with over a hundred brands from twenty-four different countries. As for their food, it’s a little hit and miss. You really need to know what to order here.
I’ve passed by the Me Va Me on Bathurst and Steeles many times and was always a little curious about this restaurant. One evening I noticed that a new location had opened up so Mike and I dropped by to give it a try.
I didn’t think Araxi was open for lunch but when Mike and I were walking through Whistler Village, we noticed that it was open and decided to check it out. Since it was the summer, they had their patio open. However, we opted to sit inside since it was still a little chilly.
After reading about Lola’s Commissary’s famous cheesecake-stuffed French toast, I knew I had to come here for brunch. Located on Church, just south of Bloor, the restaurant is in an old converted Victorian house. They have a little patio out front and a warm, cheery interior.
