[NYC] Pies ‘n’ Thighs

One day during our New York trip, Mike and I decided to make the trek out to Brooklyn. Our first stop was Williamsburg for breakfast at Pies ‘n’ Thighs, about a ten minute walk from the first subway stop after the Williamsburg Bridge.

C’est What

Mike and I were meeting our friend, Adrian, near Union station for lunch so we decided to try C’est What, located at Church and Front.  Even though I had been here before, we still walked right past it. It’s easily missed since there isn’t very much signage except for an awning you wouldn’t see if you weren’t looking up. It’s located right between Le Papillon and Harry Young.

[NYC] Babbo

When Mike and I decided to go to New York, one of the restaurants at the top of my list was Mario Batali’s Babbo. Three weeks before our visit to New York, Mike tried making a reservation at here.  For the entire five days we were supposed to be there, they were already fully booked. After doing some research online, he later realized that getting a reservation at Babbo is quite a process. If you want a reservation, you better do so, exactly one month in advance of the date. Oh, and be prepared to call them a few times since they’re notoriously known for having a busy line.

Sushi Moto

Located near Yonge and Sheppard, Sushi Moto is one of my go-to sushi restaurants in the North York area.

[NYC] Clinton St. Baking Company

Notorious for the long waits, Mike and I decided to go to Clinton St. Baking Company on a Monday around 11:30. Although it was quite busy, we only had to wait about five minutes before a table freed up for us. After the long wait at Blue Ribbon Bakery the day before, we were thankful we didn’t have another long wait here.
