I’ve been trying to make a reservation at Enoteca Sociale for quite some time. If you’re looking for a Friday or Saturday evening reservation a few weeks from now, you better get on it!
The story starts with me purchasing a coupon for Goed Eten on one of those group buy sites. I swear, I always read the fine print but I must have missed the part that said this coupon could only be used Monday to Friday. Then I go to their website to check out their hours and realize they’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays… oh and they’re only open between 10am and 4pm. Pretty limiting, eh? Well, the good news is that I purchased the coupon just before the holidays and had some time to give Goed Eten a try!
Ding Tai Fung is located in First Markham Place, a plaza filled with many other Asian eateries. I came here one evening with a bunch of other food enthusiasts (thanks to Karen for organizing!) who had previously been here. They all had great things to say about it so I was really looking forward to a tasty dinner!
I had heard a lot about Cheesewerks in the week leading up to its opening so I was excited to try some of their specialty grilled cheese sandwiches. Located on Bathurst and Wellington, it isn’t exactly in the vicinity of my workplace so lunch wasn’t an option. Instead, Chris and I dropped by for dinner after work one evening.
Located in the heart of Yorkville, Mike and I dropped by MBCO (Montreal Bread Company) for a light lunch before doing some shopping. There used to be a location in the TD food court in the financial district many years ago but that didn’t last very long. I remembered enjoying the food (albeit on the pricey side), so I was hoping this location wouldn’t disappoint.
