Banh Mi Boys

Banh Mi Boys had initially opened for a little while before closing for renovations in mid February. The renovations ran longer than expected which left me eagerly waiting for its re-opening.

Sushi Kaji

Known as one of the best sushi restaurants in the GTA, I was beyond excited to try Sushi Kaji. Located in Etobicoke on the Queensway, you would never expect one of the best sushi restaurants to be located in a sketchy-looking plaza in the area.

New Ho King

Being downtown, our options for what some people would call “good” Chinese food is limited. Since we couldn’t go uptown this weekday evening, my aunt suggested we go to New Ho King in Chinatown.

Salt Wine Bar

I was in the mood for tapas and decided to drop by Salt Wine Bar one Friday evening with Mike, Chris and Jo. Located on Ossington, just South of Dundas, Salt Wine Bar is in the middle of a restaurant hot spot.

Bestellen

Being a meatlover, I was excited to try Bestellen, the restaurant recently opened by Top Chef finalist Rob Rossi and Ryan Sarfeld. Everything at Bestellen is made in-house, with a dry aging room situated in the middle of the restaurant with a glass wall for all to see. The main dining room also features a large mural with a butchered pig on it with paintings of different cuts of meat. This definitely isn’t a place to bring your vegetarian friends.
